Svchostviewer is a software that will show why you have so many svchost processes in you PC. To me, the best use I can give to this software is the possibility to disable services that I don’t want running in my pc and safely disable them without any risk.
Besides showing the process and the services within it, you can also click on the service to stop it, see a description or even save a report about your svchost so you can take to someone and look for viruses, malwares or something that don’t belong in there.
The software is portable, only takes 40kb of space and it will quickly scan all your processes, turning it into a must-have to technicians or anyone with some knowledge of Windows’ services. It’s compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7, and need .Net Framework 2 to work (basic requirement for most programs these days).
