So, when using Google Reader, the first thing you want to do is share it on Google+; and I’ve seen a lot of people that just copy and paste the link because that’s the only way to do it since Google doesn’t offer this capability. So, here’s how we’re going to do it.
Go to Google Reader > Settings. In there, go to the Send To tab (the last one).
Scroll down and click on Create a custom link.
In the options that appear:
NAME: Google+ (if you want to)
URL: https://plusone.google.com/_/+1/confirm?hl=en&url=${url}
Icon URL: https://ssl.gstatic.com/s2/oz/images/favicon.ico
Then Save and go to Google Reader. You’ll se the option in the Send to dropdown menu. You just need to click to send it to Google+.
The sharing will be using the code for the +1 button, meaning that you’ll post as if you click the +1 of that post; after you click on Send to Google+, a new tab will open and you will click on the comment area to make the link appear.
Then just share it, and will appear on Google+.
Sadly, this long and sometimes annoying method is the only one that will work 100% of the times and doesn’t require any third party service.

I have been looking for hyperlink API for Google + for a long time. Thanks for sharing. Are there any more parameters available, other than HL & URL? Something for passing in custom comment or messages?
No, man. The API is still very limited and doesn’t offer that much information. Still, you can go visit the official site for more information https://developers.google.com/+/api/
