Facebook Desktop is an Adobe AIR App that brings Facebook into our desktop.
The App works similar to Tweetdeck. You can see any new stuff you have, read other people’s statuses, send and receive messages, update your status and more.
The thing I don’t like is that is build in AIR, software that I really don’t like because eats too many resources.
Also, this app is advertised as lightweight, but it consumes 45Mb of RAM, that’s not lightweight.
The App will ask you for a lot of permissions, and you have to grant them all.
It may be a great App, but most Facebook users will prefer use the website because is a lot lighter. Or at least that’s my case.
