Since the news about Google Video shutting down, the main concern was the videos stored in every account. Of course, Google added an Download Video button to download each video to local store or to upload later to any video service.
Since all users have a YouTube account, Google added a new option in the status page:
”Upload Videos to YouTube” is the easies way there is to automatically send your videos to YouTube:
We’ve created an “Upload Videos to YouTube” option on the Google Video status page. To do this, you’ll need to have a YouTube account associated with your Google Video account [...]. If you choose this option, we’ll do our best to ensure your existing Google Video links continue to function.
Also, videos won’t be deleted, instead, Google is working in a way to automatically transfer all your videos to YouTube, so no video is lost. April 29 is no longer a deadline, I guess that when all videos are transferred, Google Video will close.
No matter how bad people talk about Google, at least they pay attention to user feedback.
